If you or someone you love is entering an IOP program for the first time in MA or NH, one of the first concerns mentioned is the duration of the program. GateHouse Treatment acknowledges these apprehensions, especially in instances where you are concerned about having access to your loved one. GateHouse Treatment also understands how important receiving the proper treatment is for someone struggling with addiction.
The simplest answer we can give in regards to a participant’s IOP timeline is every program is different.
One of the best parts of working with GateHouse Treatment is, upon arrival to our treatment facility, is sitting down with our team of professionals to discuss your addiction and needs. With the help of our licensed therapists, medical professionals, counselors, and recovery specialists, we will create an individualized plan that is designed specifically for you.
Typically, IOP can last anywhere from three to four months, but this can vary depending on the participant. When beginning the recovery journey with GateHouse, each client will receive 9-15 hours of weekly, clinical services. These services include individual sessions with a primary therapist, group sessions, an hour with their case manager, a weekly family session, and 45 minutes using biofeedback. We attack addiction from all angles; which means providing the skills, structure, and support necessary that will help mend your mind, body, and spirit.
Our team will work with you to guide your journey in our IOP as you work in close collaboration with our primary therapists, case managers, program directors, and medical staff. As you are provided with new opportunities and responsibilities within our facility, a combined decision is made regarding your personal progression through the program. From these evaluations, the participant and team can determine if they should continue in their current IOP or move to an OP in their next step of recovery.
Put in the easiest of terms, there is not a definitive end date to an IOP program. Our programs are focused on your individual journey and experience, which are planned to help you succeed. We care about you, not your health care provider’s policy regarding addiction treatment.
