The Joint Commission is the national certifying agency for healthcare organizations in the United States. This includes hospitals, nursing homes, hospice facilities, drug rehab centers, behavioral healthcare facilities and laboratories. The Joint Commission’s accreditation requirements come from behavioral healthcare providers, measurement experts, families and individuals. The  Gold Seal of Approval (TM) is known as a standard of care and a symbol of the highest quality of care meeting performance standards.
