Intensive Outpatient Treatment that Gets Results
At GateHouse Treatment, outpatient drug and alcohol treatment consists of individual counseling sessions, group therapy, and 12-step meetings. Clients report to the facility five days a week in the first phase, 3 days per week in the second phase and 2 days per week in the third phase. This transition into the world allows clients to apply what they have learned as they gather recovery skills.
Clients find support and guidance from both their peers and our expert staff. The 12-step component allows addicts and alcoholics to explore their spiritual lives and begin to build a network of other persons in recovery. In many ways, outpatient treatment is the best of all possible worlds, encouraging clients to maximize their recovery skills and engage with resources that will provide long term support.
When not participating directly in their treatment sessions, clients live in highly structured sober homes that provide support and important opportunities for growth. These sober homes also push clients out of their isolation practices by fostering a sense of community. Addiction feeds on loneliness and isolation but cannot thrive in the light of day that group participation brings to our clients’ lives.
