Kim offers mindfulness and conventional therapy to individuals and families facing substance abuse challenges and mental health issues. Many individuals are, at some point, faced with difficult life situations. Kim helps individuals navigate these periods in life, and helps develop strategies to create happier, more fulfilling lives. Kim works with each client to create the best possible counseling experience and individualizes treatment based on the client’s unique needs and wants. Each person experiences life differently and it stands to reason that the therapy should always be tailored to meet the individual’s needs.
Kim works with, adults, families, and groups on issues including depression, anxiety, stress, trauma, abuse, grief, and substance abuse among other needs a client may have.
Kim approaches her work with clients from a strengths-based perspective utilizing techniques from cognitive-behavioral theory, psychodynamic theory, acceptance and commitment therapy and solutions focused therapy. She utilizes emotional freedom and cognitive behavioral techniques to help individuals restore balance in their lives, and reprogram negative beliefs and thought patterns.
